happy holly tags
Add a festive homemade touch to baked gifts or simple packages with this charming little tag. Write your own greeting and add a favorite Scripture. No tag will be exactly the same, so enjoy being creative. Also, these would be great to use as place cards to set your holiday table. Just add a name and tie around the napkin-wrapped utensils. Make it fun and let your kids help with the design!
Materials + Tools
Tags – purchased blanks or cut your own from cardstock, art paper, old Christmas cards
Twine or thin ribbon
Felt DIY craft squares (craft stores or online here)
Red Beads or Buttons (old or new)
Craft glue
Scissors, hole punch (optional)
Instructions
- Cut small leaves from the felt. If you want the same size, make a leaf-shaped pattern from cardstock and trace them onto the felt before cutting. For a rustic look, just cut them out freehand.
- Position leaves onto the tag, glue them in place and let it dry. You could also use a hot glue gun for this. Use old beads or buttons for the “berries” and glue in place.
- Loop twine or thin ribbon through the tag hole and attach to your gift!

Love these, Sheryl. Easy to do, festive and also recycling involved. How much better than that? Blessed Christmas to you. Shelley
